We provide a menu of shared services, trainings and workshops, and technology that supports (not replace) social solutions for our city’s direct service providers and adaptive leadership.
Position Summary
Title: Workforce Resource Specialist
Work Location: 415 ½ W Ashland Avenue, Louisville, KY 40214
The Workforce Resource Specialist is a part-time position and reports directly to the Director of Resources. We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who believes in our mission and embodies our values to join our dynamic and innovative team. This position will play a pivotal role in expanding our network and enhancing community impact.
Responsibilities and Duties
Identify and document viable community resources that will address the needs of Neighbors in realizing their goals for work
Work directly with Neighbors and their families to understand their specific workforce needs and goals, and provide ongoing support and resources for Neighbors until their goals are reached or are no longer viable
Ensure resources related to workforce development and placement are accurately and effectively maintained in the Neighbor Network resource database
Support Neighbor Navigators and other members of the Neighbor Network and/or community ministry teams in refining care paths and identifying reliable/sustainable solutions that optimize Neighbors’ abilities to realize greater stability
Contribute to written briefs, presentations and other materials used to promote short-term solutions and/or visionary alternatives designed to remove or reduce barriers preventing Neighbors from achieving goals
Facilitate and/or actively participate in community conversations with key stakeholders, advocates, government officials and other community partners to advocate for solutions
Facilitate conversations and processes with Neighbor Network and community stakeholders that advocate for Neighbor’s unmet needs. Engage in compassionate and just methods for conflict resolution
Document encounters, friction points, service gaps and other relevant information in designated Neighbor Network systems
Actively participate in Neighbor Network team meetings, trainings and other professional development events
Engage in professional development, health/well-being activities and other supportive outlets to better equip Navigator to stay present to challenges facing Neighbors while upholding the Values established by the Neighbor Network
Other related duties as assigned
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor’s Degree in social work, other health-related field, preferred
Demonstrated recent experience working in direct client services
Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations during times of challenge
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Enthusiasm and commitment to the vision and mission of the team and of the possibilities provided by a robust Neighbor Network
Core Competencies:
Cultural Competency: Culturally sensitive and capable of working with diverse populations, understanding and respecting cultural differences.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, Neighbors, faith communities, healthcare providers, and social service agencies.
Problem-Solving: Proven ability to assess clients' needs, identify barriers to care, and develop appropriate solutions.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage diverse and, sometimes, competing priorities. Effective project and talent management capabilities.
Technical Capacity: Working knowledge of Google Office platform, project management and other database functions.
Social Services: Knowledge of available community resources and social services that can support clients with housing, transportation, food, and other social determinants of health.
Compensation:
This is a 20-30 hour per week position at $25/hour with a hybrid (office & remote) and flexible schedule.

Position: Neighbor Navigator - Relational Worker (FT)

Title: Neighbor Navigator

A Neighbor Navigator is a full-time position and reports directly to the Director of Resources. We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who believes in our mission and embodies our values to join our dynamic and innovative team. This position will play a pivotal role in expanding our network and enhancing community impact.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide accompaniment, care plan navigation, coaching and progress reporting for a designated group of Neighbors based on the goals identified on their intake.
Develop individual care plans for each assigned Neighbor that address identified goals and prioritize needs in order of urgency.
Utilize online platforms like Neighborly and Jira to process rent assistance applications, case management tracking, and other tools like Leap Fund
Hold a caseload of 1-15 neighbors, and stay in communication with the Neighbor Network team about adding or completing cases to ensure quality of care for Neighbors and stability of navigating abilities.
Nurture connections between Neighbors and Neighbor Network Resource Specialists, area ministries staff and external community partners to equip Neighbors to achieve identified goals.
Facilitate conversations and processes with Neighbor Network and community stakeholders that advocate for Neighbor’s unmet needs. Engage in compassionate and just methods for conflict resolution.
Document encounters, friction points, service gaps and other relevant information in designated Neighbor Network systems.
Serve as the Neighbor Network liaison to assigned area community ministry/ministries.
Contribute qualitative and quantitative data needed for presentations, papers and other communications used to promote the work of the Neighbor Network and to advocate for solutions to Neighbors’ unmet needs
Actively participate in Neighbor Network team meetings, trainings and other professional development events
Engage in professional development, health/well-being activities and other supportive outlets to better equip Navigator to stay present to challenges facing Neighbors while upholding the Values established by the Neighbor Network.
Other related duties as assigned

Compensation:
Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 depending on experience
This is a 40-hour per week position. Benefits include 100% self-only medical insurance plus dental/vision, life insurance/short-term disability, travel reimbursement, 3% retirement match (403b), competitive paid vacation and sick leave, paid holidays and professional development opportunities.
